Alyssa and Alex met in January 2022 in the chaos of online dating. Alex was convinced he wouldn't ever find anyone worthwhile on the sites.. That was until Alyssa liked his image! Their friendship blossomed for weeks online while they vetted each other. Alex invited her to a hockey game via a 60 min car ride.. They decided it was wise to meet first - at what would become a regular hangout, The Lazy Dog.

They were both in a transitionary period in their lives. Alyssa had left hospitality permanently (allegedly) and returned to school to complete a Masters degree. Alex had just left Agriculture (sort-of!). There were many questions and loose ends to manage!
